Team Meetings in 2011           

Please join us for our team meetings this year. They are open to anyone who would like to attend.

Team Meetings contain a training component, a team building component, and an educational component.

January 18th-Helen Townsend, Refuge Coordinator, with the Indiana State Department of Health will be presenting about cultural differences in crisis.

March 15th-Elizabeth Boyle, Director of Crisis Services, Mental Health America will present about the crisis line and basic suicide intervention techniques.

May 17th-Lee Schwecke, Community Health North will present on dealing with death and the sudden vs. long term effects that those individuals may be dealing with.

June 21st-Team Leader Training-learn what skills it takes to lead a team during a crisis response.

July 19th- Kathy Skwiera, Community Hospital North, will be presenting on dealing with elderly in a time of crisis.

September 20th-Rachel Fuhr, Director of Volunteer Services, Indiana State Department of Health will present about the Emergency System for Advanced Registration of Volunteer Health Professionals.

November 15th- Tabletop Hands On Exercise- Experience planning a response with a team while using a scenario that team members can help to practice creating a response team and fine tune your crisis response skills.
